John Lim is known for his work on the popular ADOdb database abstraction library for PHP he released as Open Source in 2000. In 2003, ADOdb won the MNCC Open Source Software award sponsored by the Ministry of Telecommunications & Multimedia.
This came after his disk cataloging software, d’Librarian, is the runner up to Best Australian Mac Software in 1998 while he was still a student in Melbourne Australia. In 1995, a software he designed, Executive Desktop, won PIKOM’s Software of the Year award.
Today, as CTO of Juris Technologies Sdn Bhd, he leads a team of developers, designing Web and Windows applications, while still maintaining ADOdb.
